Obstacles and dangerous locations

Signs for marking obstacles and dangerous locations can be either diagonal yellow and black; or red and white stripes set at an angle of 45 degrees, and of approximately of the same size. Areas where they would be used range from emphasising the edging of raised platforms, steps and trip hazards, an area where there is a risk of falling objects or falling into holes and pits .

Restricted area barriers and maximum height indicators frequently use this method of alerting attention. Ground and floor markings also employ the same pattern and design.
